Pauv
NewThe market for human potential.
A live, dollar-denominated index of cultural relevance, priced by the crowd. What it is Pauv is a market on trajectory, not on events. Every public figure has an NPSI (Net Public Sentiment Index): a dollar-denominated number tracking how culturally relevant that person is right now. Users open Positive or Negative Forecasts depending on whether they think someone's arc is climbing or fading, and the index moves as those forecasts land. Profiles span sports, music, politics, film and TV, business, comedy, and internet. Four things that make it different Trajectory, not the event. Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi ask a yes/no question and then close. Pauv indexes never resolve. Cultural relevance doesn't have an answer, it has a current reading. User vs. user, no house. Every position is backed by another user on the other side of the same curve. Pauv is never your counterparty. No order book to game, no operator taking the other side of your trade. Human only. Every account is a verified person. No bots, no coordinated wallets, no sock puppets. If you can't do it as yourself, you can't do it here. Fully transparent. Every trade is public and traceable. You can see every position ever taken on any index. How it works The pricing engine is called DTM 4.1. Every NPSI sits on one continuous bonding curve. Positive Forecasts push it up, Negative Forecasts push it down, and both settle instantly against the same published price function. The curve has a floor keeping the index above zero no matter how much negative pressure it takes, and no ceiling. Negative Forecasts are backed by escrow rather than borrowed tokens, so a user's downside is capped at what they committed. The original 101 profiles were priced by beta users ranking figures head-to-head, Elo style, until the ordering stopped moving. New listings get slotted between two existing profiles the same way. Forecasting activity corrects anything that launched mispriced. The royalty Every forecast carries a 1.8% fee. 0.5% of it accrues to the figure whose index was traded, whether or not they've heard of Pauv. Claim the profile and the balance routes to a wallet or a 501(c)(3). Leave it unclaimed and it eventually escheats to the state. Figures don't sign anything, and claiming isn't an endorsement. Who it's for Anyone who reads culture early and wants a number attached to it. And the figures themselves, who earn on activity around their name without lifting a finger.
